How This Works....

1. Business Model Canvas

This is a great way to review your business on one page and is most useful to assess a new business idea or new income stream to an existing business model.

This is a snapshot and doesn’t require masses of text. Bullet point one-word answers are great. When you have completed all of the section go to the overarching view and asses what you have.

2. Financial Forecast

Knowing your finances are crucial when running a business. Here you can predict what they look like going forward then compare that to your actual figures. You will see if you are overspending and be able to make strategic decisions on how best to correct it.

3. Business Plan

Create your plan. You don’t have to complete all of the sections. Only do what is relevant to your business. Think about where you are now and where you want to be in 1, 3 or 5 years time.

When this is clear then you need to decide what you need to do to move your business forward. When a business goal is decided, add it to the action plan.

4. Action Plan

This is the most important part of this tool. Completing this section and reviewing regularly will be key to driving your business forward.

Decide on your business goals, break each one down into manageable steps, then take action. Use this tool to keep track of what you have achieved and what is still to be done.

5. Review, Review, Review

For this system to be effective you must review the plan. Your action plan should be reviewed at least weekly. Checking off tasks achieved and moving new business goals into action will keep you on track.

Then quarterly, every six month or at the very least annually review the bigger picture. Has anything changed? Where do you want to go next?

6. Hold yourself to account

This system will allow you to hold yourself to account but if you need support then you can invite a trusted peer to make comments and keep you on track. Don’t have that support? We can keep you on track by being that critical friend.
